ABOUT THE CURRIES

Our History

Currie Drilling has a legacy that has spanned four generations of Curries in the Amarillo/Canyon area. Joe Currie started Currie Drilling in 1941 and passed it on to his son, Golden Currie and daughter, Norma Jo and her husband Buddy Price. It was then passed on to Golden’s sons, Bruce and Neil Currie. Currie Drilling has been in business for over 80 years this year and the 4th generation of Curries is at the helm. Shane and Lindsay Currie, Bruce’s son and daughter in law, bought the business last year and are thankful to have an opportunity to carry on the family legacy. In the beginning, our goal was to supply water to rural households. Over 80 years later we are supplying water to businesses, municipalities, and new home developments in addition to rural households. It is our goal to service this community the same way it has been serviced from the beginning, with honesty, integrity, and respect.

OUR MISSION

It is our goal to be good stewards of the water resource that God has given us and to deliver a quality job to our customers.
